Please join Yale School of Music professor Stephanie Venturino for a talk on
The Metropolitan Opera's production of Richard Strauss's "Salome", ( FYI, the opera will be broadcast live two days later at the Kate in Old Saybrook on Saturday, May 17.)
Stephanie Venturino is an assistant professor of music analysis and
musicianship at the Yale School of Music. Her research focuses on twentieth-
and twenty-first-century French music, the history of music theory, music
theory, and aural skills pedagogy. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and edited collections by the Cambridge University,
Routledge, and University of Rochester Presses. Stephanie regularly presents her work at conferences. Stephanie holds a Ph.D. in
music theory and a B.M. in classical saxophone performance from the Eastman
School of Music.
